Osteopathy
June 11 @ 12:00 am – 12:30 am
Osteopathy is a system of hands-on assessment and treatment for a wide range of conditions. Osteopaths use a variety of techniques to correct physical conditions such as back and neck pain, headache, physical injuries to bones, joints and muscles and many other physical and functional disorders.
Osteopaths have a particular interest in evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of the neuro-musculoskeletal system, and in pain management.
Osteopaths are registered by the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand as primary healthcare practitioners, which covers a broad range of health services in the community including diagnosis and treatment, health education and disease prevention and screening.
We are pleased to be able to offer osteopathy at Braintree in conjunction with Ara Institute of Canterbury
Their final year (postgraduate) students will be able to assess and treat you under close supervision in one of the rooms.
Appointments are 30-45mins long, with treatment provided in a manner that suits you, either on our treatment table or seated in a chair.
You will be asked some questions about your health. You are more that welcome to bring a support person or caregiver with you, and we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing
