Speech, Voice, and Wellbeing 

Kim Churton as the instructor for our new Speech, Voice, and Wellbeing class which will focus on improving volume, clarity, intonation, tone, and expression through education, exercises, and practical strategies.

She has a background in speech language therapy and has worked in this area in NZ and in the UK; specifically with older populations, and those with neurological conditions.

In addition, she has a Masters in Health Management – and is a qualified pilates instructor!  We are super excited having Kim offer this fun and therapeutic class to the people we support at MSPC.

The sessions are open to all and incorporate holistic wellbeing topics to support overall health and connection.

Improve communication effectiveness through targeted exercises.
Enhance confidence in social interactions and relationships.
Provide education and practical strategies for maintaining clear and expressive speech.
Foster a fun, social, and supportive environment.
Address holistic wellbeing topics relevant to MS and Parkinson’s.

Week 1 examines Breath Support and Vocal Health, and Week 2 examines Facial and Oral Motor Strengthening.

Like our gym sessions, you can join in at anytime – and each week has a different focus – but all will be fun.

 

Places are limited to 15 people, and can only be booked online up to four weeks in advance.

Sessions are 90 minutes long, term time only, and are $15 per session.
